Boral Cement's stabilisation products are used to support applications such as roadbase, concrete, mortars and grouts.
Pozzoment
Pozzoment is a versatile alternative to General Purpose Cement and consists of a blend of 75 per cent cement and 25 per cent fly ash.
Features & Benefits
- An alternative for General Purpose Cement and can replace it in most applications. Some adjustment to mix designs will be necessary
- A general purpose blended cement complying with AS 3972, type GB
- Manufactured by blending portland cement and fly ash
Application / Use & Range
- Can replace General Purpose Portland Cement in most situations with some mix design adjustments.
- Suitable for use in concrete, mortars and grouts.
- Suitable for applications where chemical attack is not a predicted risk.
Range is bulk.
Road Pozz
Road Pozz is a specialised binder produced for stabilisation applications. It is manufactured from Shrinkage Limited cement and fly ash, as a nominal blend of 75:25.
Features & Benefits
- An alternative for General Purpose Cement and can replace it in most applications. Some adjustment to mix designs will be necessary
- A general purpose blended cement complying with AS 3972, type GB
- Manufactured by mixing portland cement and fly ash
Application / Use & Range
- Stabilisation of road base, sub-base and sub-grade materials
- May be used in soils with either low or moderate plasticity
- Suitable for applications such as in situ (including deep lift) stabilisation or pugmill blending. The mixing of pavement materials should be carried out using purpose-built stabilising equipment
- Addition rates of up to 6 per cent by weight of suitable untreated materials can be expected
Range is bulk.
SSC40
SSC40 is a blended product of a nominal ratio of 60 per cent slag to 40 per cent cement and is commonly used in stabilisation applications where extended working time is required along with longer-term strength gain.
Features & Benefits
- SSC40 is particularly useful in providing increased resistance to attack by pyritic aggregates
Application / Use & Range
- Stabilisation of road base, sub-base and sub-grade materials.
- May be used in soils with either low or high plasticity
- Suitable for applications such as in situ (including deep lift) stabilisation or pugmill blending
- The mixing of pavement materials should be carried out using purpose-built stabilising equipment
- Additional rates of up to 6 per cent by weight of suitable untreated materials can be expected
SSC60
SSC60 is a blended product of a nominal ratio of 60 per cent cement to 40 per cent slag and is commonly used in stabilisation applications where higher early strength is required along with longer-term strength gain.
Stabilment
Stabilment is a specialised binder produced for stabilisation applications. It is manufactured from selected ground granulated blast furnace slag and hydrated lime, as a nominal blend of 85:15.
Application / Use
- Stabilisation of road base, sub-base and sub-grade material
- May be used in soils with either low or high plasticity
- Suitable for applications such as in situ (including deep lift) stabilisation or pugmill blending. The mixing of pavement materials should be carried out using purpose-built stabilising equipment
- Can be used to modify soils with a high Plasticity Index (PI)
- Addition rates of up to 6 per cent by weight of suitable untreated materials can be expected
