Boral Limited (“Boral”) has renewed its longstanding partnership with Road Safety Education Limited (RSE), as part of its commitment to Zero Harm, extending to the responsibility of road safety and better educating drivers and passengers. 

Boral has put forward a proposal to tackle two challenging Gold Coast City-building issues - a looming shortage of construction materials for Gold Coast roads, buildings and infrastructure projects, and landfill constraints. 

Boral has successfully secured $24.5 million in Federal Government funding for a new cement kiln infrastructure project, which will enable the leading construction materials company to significantly reduce its CO2 emissions arising from cement manufacturing by up to 100,000 tonnes per annum, based on predicted production rates.

Boral’s partnership with Sunshine Coast Council has delivered Australia’s first crumbed rubber asphalt using OTR tyres — offering councils a proven, sustainable solution to extend road life and reduce landfill.

Today Boral announced the completed acquisition of Sand Supplies Pty Ltd (Sand Supplies), which includes two sand quarries in Victoria, about 100km south-east of Melbourne. 

The strategic acquisition of the sites at Glen Forbes and Grantville will provide security of sand supply to Boral and its customers and Boral’s integrated downstream operations. It also sees the continued employment of Sand Supplies’ skilled workers as they transfer to Boral.  

Boral has trialled recycled sand for concrete made from crushed glass sourced from end-of-life solar panels, developed for Victoria’s North East Link project featuring 6.5 km of tunnels.

We have been made aware of a fraudulent website impersonating Boral to conduct an online investment scam.

The fraudulent site falsely claims to offer high-return investment opportunities, using a web domain (URL) that impersonates the Boral domain.

Boral been tapped as the major construction materials supplier for Black Rock Motor Resort, Australia’s first multi-million-dollar driving circuit and luxury resort at NSW’s Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle. 

Our upgraded carbon-reducing technology at the Berrima Cement Works was officially opened by Federal Minister for Climate Change and Energy, the Hon Chris Bowen MP.

Boral awarded the Boral Police Award to Senior Constable Alison Stewart of Maitland Police for her dedication to road safety education and instrumental work in facilitating school, police officer and road safety expert participation throughout the Hunter region.
