Boral opened its doors to the Marulan community for one of our biggest open days in recent history, welcoming 450 guests to Marulan Operations for a day of connection and celebration. Visitors enjoyed guided tours of Peppertree Quarry, machinery displays, and a curated history room that sparked memories for former employees and long-time residents.
The history room, created by Mark and Jade Smith, showcased decades of local stories and milestones, while the Marulan Lions Club served up a classic BBQ lunch that brought everyone together. Families explored interactive displays and children’s activities, making the day a true community event.
Marulan Operations has been a cornerstone of the Southern Tablelands for generations, supplying essential materials for infrastructure and development across New South Wales. Hosting this open day reflects our commitment to transparency and engagement with the people who live and work alongside our operations.
“These events aren’t just about showcasing what we do; they’re about listening, sharing, and building trust. When we open our doors or join local celebrations, we demonstrate transparency and a genuine commitment to being part of the communities we serve.”
Kate Woodbridge, National Community Relations and Engagement Manager
