The nation's largest Royal Australian Air Force base is transforming to cater for its expanding fleet in Queensland.

The Royal Australian Air Force Base Amberley is undergoing significant changes in three separate projects to cater for its expanding fleet of C-17 Globemaster, Growler and Battlefield Airlifter aircraft.

The projects will transform operations at the RAAF’s largest base in Australia with works including new aprons, a hangar and associated infrastructure.

Each aircraft-based project has one contractor with Boral is supplying to all three – CPB, Lendlease and Laing O'Rourke.

Boral is delivering high-quality materials in a complex operational environment, providing flexibility and resources to meet increased demand for materials around-the-clock.

Amberley employs more than 5000 military personnel and civilians and is 40 kilometres south-west of Brisbane.
