The Gold Coast Airport project works included structural overlay of the northern apron and widening taxiway E.
Boral supplied and placed asphalt with works including profiling to level, application of SAMI seal and primer to constructed pavements and application of fuel-resistant membrane to refuelling areas.
Boral collaborated with See Civil, Gold Coast Airport and BECA to ensure the project was delivered to tight deadlines for opening the northern apron prior to the busy Christmas season in 2014.
Boral achieved compliance with the airport specification for compaction and mix quality after developing and trialling mix designs.
