The Glenfield to Leppington Rail Line Project was an 11.4-kilometre railway project that connected the suburbs of Glenfield and Leppington in Sydney's south-western growth corridor, providing an effective and direct link to Sydney's CBD.

The Glenfield to Leppington Rail Line Project included new stations at Edmondson Park and Leppington, a stabling yard for 20 trains and 14 bridges. It was the largest contract delivered under the NSW Government's $2.1 billion South West Rail Link project.

Boral worked with John Holland to ensure resources were available to meet its accelerated program for this greenfield rail infrastructure project. This included designing special class concrete mixes to meet the sustainability and durability requirements and managing the full supply chain of required products to ensure the security and reliability of materials.

A project highlight was our involvement in building the 80-metre Hume Highway underpass tunnel at Glenfield at night without impacting traffic.

The project was completed in 2014.
