Cement Concrete & Aggregates Australia has been in Far North Queensland this week connecting with their members.
The visit by David Rynne, CCAA State Director QLD, incorporated Roseneath Quarry and a tour to the soon to be commissioned Boral crushing plant.
CCAA also visited Palm Island as part of a government delegation to begin an important conversation about the future of construction materials supply.
With significant construction of concrete roads and housing underway and planned, CCAA is working collaboratively to look at the opportunities available for locally sourced heavy construction materials.
An excellent first step in a process that stands to deliver real economic, logistical and community benefit to Palm Island.
