At Boral’s Geelong Cement site, teamwork and commitment have delivered a series of improvements designed to make the site safer, more accessible, and environmentally stronger.

These upgrades represent a significant step forward, modernising key areas and improving productivity for the teams who work on site every day. The changes have not only enhanced day-to-day operations but have also created a safer, more sustainable environment for employees, drivers, and visitors.

Key Improvements

  • Safer Roads and Dust Control: Our Asphalt team resurfaced the Clinker Building road with bitumen, improving stormwater management and strengthening dust control measures.
  • Emergency Lighting: Installed across the site to support safe movement during critical events.
  • Landscaping Enhancements: New landscaping helps manage dust and improves the overall look and feel of the site.
  • Driver Amenities: A new amenities building and handrails provide safer movement and comfort for drivers.
  • Stronger Pavements: More than 340m³ of concrete poured to reinforce pavements, improving fire access and overall site durability.

A Team Effort

These improvements reflect the dedication of both the Geelong Operations team and our Capital Projects team, who worked together to deliver upgrades while keeping safety, continuity, and efficiency at the forefront.

Their efforts ensure the Geelong site is well-positioned for the future — demonstrating that building something great never stops.
