Boral's Dunmore operations were a very proud sponsor of the Jamberoo Family Day and Car Show last Sunday.
625 vehicles were on display, with something for everyone. Hundreds of classic and new cars, hot rods, motor bikes, steam powered tractors and most importantly Boral's beautifully restored 1984 Mack R Model tipper, a new truck and dog to showcase Boral's proud 75-year history and the other crowd pleaser was a Boral agi that the kids got to sit in - perhaps we have inspired some future drivers!!
Proceeds raised will support the Jamberoo Rural Fire Service. The RFS is a very important part of the village and are usually the first responders for all local emergencies - not just fires but also road accidents and livestock rescues.
A huge shout out to all of the local RFS volunteers who had a massive day organising the traffic and people in and out of the park,as well as the local stall holders and businesses who fed, watered and entertained the massive crowds.
Boral Quarries Operations Manager Angus Shedden said, "Thank you to all involved in supporting the Jamberoo show. I had no idea it was such a large event with huge numbers of cars and people! I went along with my family and we had a great time, however the best bit was seeing the Boral trucks at each entrance and having several members of the public express their gratitude at Boral helping out at the show. A number of the Boral team spent their Sunday supporting the show - great job all."
Special thanks also to Marko Kasap (Tipper Driver Trainer NSW/ACT), Harry Kavetsos (Truck and Dog Driver) and Michael Raynor (Dunmore Concrete) who gave up their Sunday to bring the trucks, as well as the Dunmore crew who bought their families to the event and got some selfies with our vehicles.
