Boral cement wins national supplier award
Independent hardware and building supply businesses have rated Boral as number one Supplier of the Year in Australia.
Boral received the tick of approval from businesses who are members of Natbuild, the largest independent buying group in Australia that supplies resellers with building products.
Businesses aligned with Natbuild are asked to annually “rate” their suppliers on a scale of one to five on the relationship between people, quality products, constantly improving business relationships, enabling Natbuild members to provide competitive pricing and promotional support. The supplier with the highest aggregate rating is named Natbuild’s “Supplier of the Year”.
Collectively the Natbuild members’ total turnover is than $1.8 billion in trade sales with 90 per cent sold to domestic trade customers.
Boral’s cementitious products such as packaged cement, drymix and associated product lines are resold via the Natbuild network.
Ian Fitzsimons, Boral Cement’s Packaged Products Sales Manager, said the award was a great achievement considering Boral’s geographical distribution footprint was limited to NSW, the ACT, Victoria and south-east Queensland, compared with many national suppliers of building products.
“Boral Cement receiving this award is a reflection of everyone’s contribution to our packaged products business. We are very proud of what we’ve achieved,” Ian said. “I believe the relationships we’ve developed with customers at many levels in their businesses are exemplary.”
Boral products can be found in NSW at Agnew Building Supplies, Area Builders Supply Co., Astley’s Plumbing & Hardware, Hardware & General, NHS, Quality Building Supplies, Saddingtons Building Supplies, Swadlings Timber & Hardware, Tamworth Building Supplies and JH Williams & Sons; in Victoria at Barwon Timber and Bowens, and in Queensland at BMS.
Boral was presented with the Supplier of the Year award at the Natbuild National Conference in Cairns in October.
