Boral Cement’s second consecutive national award

Boral Cement has been named Natbuild’s “Supplier of the Year”, for the second consecutive year.

Natbuild is the largest independent buying group in Australia, representing 37 principal members, who have more than 120 major building material supply locations throughout Australia.

Boral was presented with the Supplier of the Year award at the Natbuild National Conference in Auckland, New Zealand, on October 24.

Independent hardware and building supply businesses aligned with Natbuild are asked to annually rate their suppliers on five critical supplier criteria covering people, products, service, price and promotional support. The supplier with the highest aggregate rating is named Natbuild’s Supplier of the Year. Collectively the 37 principal Natbuild members’ total turnover is more than $2 billion in trade sales. 

Ian Fitzsimons, Boral Cement Packaged Products Sales Manager, said the award was significant because our products were only available on the east coast of Australia.

“We supply about one third of all the principal members in just over 50 locations in New South Wales, ACT, Victoria and Queensland, so that in itself is a great effort because there are national footprint suppliers,” Ian said.

In accepting the award, Ian said the success was a combined team effort of our people in operations, logistics, administration, technical, sales and management because everyone in Boral Cement had contributed.
