"My experience with Boral has been nothing but amazing and life-changing so far. I am very grateful to have been given this opportunity as it allows me to tie my studies with real life industrial experience. I am very happy to be part of such a welcoming team and all-rounded program."
Olga Bida 2017 inaugural recipient of the UNSW Boral Women in Engineering Scholarship.
The Scholarships aim to help female students undertaking an engineering degree in either civil or mining disciplines.
“Diversity and inclusion are core values at Boral. We are excited to support the opportunity for women to complement their degree in engineering through these scholarships. By offering female students these scholarships we wanted to create an opportunity to support women starting their careers in engineering, financially and through work experience."
Boral Group Human Resources Director, Linda Coates.
Scholarship holders are provided with planned and relevant industrial training, creating opportunity for a diverse range of experiences and activities through well-structured rotations and interactions with supervisors, employees and business leaders.
"The Boral scholarship has provided me incredible opportunities to do things that I would have never imagined myself doing. I have learnt so much about the practical uses of engineering through the program and have met amazing people who have ensured I am always learning. The scholarship program has been an incredible experience."
