Boral Timber launches the metallon XL™ engineered flooring collection
Contemporary finishes and wide board format utilising Australian hardwood
Boral Timber has updated its popular metallon™ engineered flooring collection, launching metallon XL™. Featuring large format 186mm by 14mm hardwood timber boards in a new range of modern colours for a contemporary look and feel.
metallon XL™ is the next iteration of the highly successful metallon™ range and will make a truly unique statement in residential interiors. The high quality, easy to install metallon XL™ boards are inspired by the aesthetics of precious metals, transforming the beauty of Australian hardwoods into the original metallon XL™ colours of Copper and Tungsten, as well as three new colours; Aztec White, Sterling and Quicksilver.
According to Leon Travis, Boral Timber general manager sales and distribution, “The metallon XL™ range has been developed in response to the trends we are seeing in the local flooring market. We understand consumers appreciate the durability and feature of Australian timbers, so we have used these as a base, finished in a choice of light and darker tones for modern room makeovers, renovations and new builds.”
Stained engineered boards are a versatile and multi-dimensional timber flooring solution that aligns with evolving Australian architecture and design trends. Incorporating the click-lock installation system, the boards are quick to install and easily join for a tight-fitting board-to-board finish.
With a 4mm nominal hardwood top layer, the hard-wearing Blackbutt timber can be sanded back for a more natural finish or re-stained as design preferences evolve. The boards are pre-finished for minimal fuss and mess, and can be laid over a level subfloor, including a concrete slab, particleboard or plywood sheeting or over old timber floors, ready to walk on almost immediately.
metallon XL™ is a sustainable engineered timber flooring choice, as it is a natural and renewable resource. It is Responsible Wood Chain of Custody certified to give peace of mind that the timber is sourced from sustainably managed and legal forestry.
