Pernod Ricard, the second largest wines and spirits company worldwide, commissioned Woodhead Architects to design the interiors of their NSW corporate office, to be both inviting and convivial, reflecting the Group’s fundamental values.

The client wanted a feeling of walking into a hotel lobby whilst still maintaining the overall effect of a corporate space. To achieve this, the reception area was given a ‘premium’ feel with high end finished and ambient lights, highlighted by stylised product displays in both reception and bar areas.

Solid timber flooring supplied by Boral Timber was used to link the different front-of-house areas, creating a seamless transition between reception, staff facilities and client function areas.

Blackbutt flooring in Australiana grade was specified for its durability and warmth, as well as its light and varied colour. The floor was laid on a concrete slab and extends from the main reception area to a new feature timber staircase, which uses treads of solid timber, again in Blackbutt.

The result is an area that is warm and inviting, while still maintaining the overall feel of a corporate space.
