Boral was proud to support the 2026 Dorrie Day Careers Expo in Bundaberg, joining students, educators, employers and community organisations at one of the region's leading First Nations careers events.

Hosted by the First Nations Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng and Taribelang Bunda People Development Corporation, Dorrie Day brings together education and employment providers to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and jobseekers explore training, career and employment opportunities. The 2026 theme, "Strong Mob, Strong Futures", highlighted the importance of creating pathways that empower young people to achieve their goals and build successful futures.

Representing Boral at the event were Christian Lewis and Aboriginal Affairs Manager Vince Scarcella, who spent the day connecting with students and discussing the diverse range of career opportunities available across the construction materials industry.

A key attraction at the Boral display was an agi truck, which drew strong interest from students throughout the day. Many took the opportunity to climb into the cab and gain a firsthand perspective of what it is like to operate heavy vehicles and equipment. The experience sparked conversations about careers in construction, logistics and manufacturing, while also helping students better understand the importance of safety around heavy vehicles and machinery.

With thousands of attendees and more than 100 organisations involved, Dorrie Day provides an important platform for connecting young people with education, training and employment pathways while celebrating First Nations culture and community.

Boral is proud to support initiatives that help young people explore future career opportunities, strengthen community connections and build the workforce of tomorrow.
