Mike Kane was appointed CEO & Managing Director, after being President of Boral USA
since February 2010. Mr Kane has
extensive experience in the building
and construction industry, including
24 years in senior executive roles
with US Gypsum, Pioneer/Hanson
Building Materials, Johns-Manville
Corp and Holcim.
His experience spans a broad range of geographies across America, Europe and the Asia Pacific, and his portfolio of responsibilities has included cement, aggregate, concrete, plasterboard, bricks and roof tile businesses. Prior to joining Boral, he was CEO and Board Member of Calstar Products Inc, a Silicon Valley Clean Technology start-up reinventing exterior building materials for sustainable construction. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Southern Illinois University, a Juris Doctorate from DePaul University’s School of Law in Illinois and a Masters in Science from Creighton University, School of Law in Nebraska.
Joe Goss, Divisional Managing Director, Boral Construction Materials & Cement
Joe joined Boral from Lafarge North America, Inc where he spent 10 years working in a number of executive roles, including President US Southeast Cement Business, President US East Cement Business and Business Development Consultant US & East Canada. Between 1986 and 2002 Joe worked with Schlumberger NV, the world’s leading oilfield services company, where he held a number of manufacturing, sales, marketing and product development roles across Europe, the USA and Australasia.
Joe holds a PhD and a Masters of Science in Materials Science & Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science (Metallurgical Engineering) from the University of Wisconsin.
Al Borm, President & CEO, Boral Industries Inc
Al Borm was appointed President & CEO of Boral USA in October 2012. Prior to this appointment, Mr Borm was President Boral Roofing in the USA and joined Boral in this role in July 2010. Mr Borm has extensive experience in the building products industry including logistics, marketing, sales, business development and general management roles with US Gypsum, Hanson Building Products America and Oldcastle APG, a subsidiary of CRH. Al has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, as well as an MBA from DePaul University.
Frederic de Rougemont, Divisional Managing Director, Boral Gypsum
Frederic was appointed Divisional Managing Director of Boral Gypsum in October 2012 when the Asian and Australian plasterboard businesses were combined. Prior to this Frederic was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Boral Gypsum Asia in December 2011 following Boral's acquisition of Lafarge's interest in Lafarge Boral Gypsum Asia (LBGA). He was previously Chief Executive Officer of LBGA from 2009-2011. Prior to this, Frederic held a number of senior roles in his 22 year career with Lafarge, including managing the Cement Ready Mix and Aggregates business in South Africa and the Cement business in South Korea. He was also responsible for Research & Development for the Lafarge Group. Prior to joining Lafarge he was a scientific researcher for the French National Research Centre and a post-doctorate researcher with IBM Research Labs in the USA. He holds a PhD in Physical Sciences from University of Orsay.
David Mariner, Executive General Manager, Boral Building Products
David joined Boral in 2010 and was appointed Executive General Manager of Building Products in December 2014. Prior to that David was Chief Operating Officer for the Cladding division in the U.S. Through his career, David has performed a variety of management roles at Boral and Holcim as well as outside the building products space with Daimler Chrysler and Detroit Diesel. David holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Masters in Business Administration from Clemson University.
Ross Harper, Executive General Manager, Boral Cement
Ross joined in Boral in January 2006 and held senior roles in Boral’s Cement division. Ross has over 30 years’ experience with industrial process industries, including the energy, pulp and paper and building material sectors. He holds a Doctorate in Chemistry and completed the Executive Management Programme at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Kylie FitzGerald, Group Communications and Investor Relations Director
Kylie first joined Boral in 1995 and was appointed Manager, Investor Relations & Corporate Affairs in 2001, a role she continued in until August 2010. In January 2011, Kylie joined the GPT Group as Group Communications Manager, before returning to Boral in July 2012 to again lead Boral’s Group Communications and Investor Relations division. With an early career in production management, Kylie holds an honours degree in Ceramic Engineering from the University of NSW and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
Rosaline (Ros) Ng, Chief Financial Officer
Rosaline Ng joined Boral in 1995 as Group Management Accountant for Building Products. She has held a number of senior finance roles, including General Manager Finance for the Timber division (1995-2001) and Building Products (2002-2009). Between these two divisional finance roles, Rosaline spent 15 months as Finance Director at Phoneware/Sirius Telecommunications before re-joining Boral in late 2002. In 2009, Rosaline was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Boral Industries Inc and spent four years overseeing the finance function in the USA.
Rosaline has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Dominic Millgate, Company Secretary
Dominic Millgate was appointed Company Secretary of Boral Limited in July 2013, having been Assistant Company Secretary since November 2010. He has previously been legal counsel and company secretary for listed entities in Australia and Singapore, and has held legal roles in London and Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries, is admitted to practise as a solicitor in NSW, and holds a finance degree from the University of New England and a law degree from the University of Sydney.
Damien Sullivan, Group General Counsel
Damien Sullivan joined Boral in 2009 and was most recently General Counsel, Australia before being appointed Group General Counsel in July 2013. Damien has worked as a lawyer in private practice and various in-house legal roles across a number of industries for over 16 years in Sydney, New York and Los Angeles. In private practice he specialised in corporate and finance law. Damien holds Law and Applied Science degrees from the University of Newcastle and is admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales, and as an Attorney in New York.
Linda Coates, Group Human Resources Director
Linda was appointed Group Human Resources Director for Boral Limited in November 2013, following 13 years of divisional and corporate HR roles in Boral including Corporate HR Manager for Boral Limited from 2011 to 2013, Divisional HR Manager for Boral Construction Related Businesses (2008-2011) and HR Manager for Boral Clay & Concrete Products (2000-2008). Prior to joining Boral, Linda was with Pioneer International in HR roles covering Australia and Asia.
Linda has an MBA from University of Technology and a Bachelors of Arts with Honours majoring in Economics and Political Science from the University of NSW.
Michael Wilson, Group Health, Safety and Environment Director
Michael joined Boral in November 2013 as Group HSE Director. Prior to joining Boral Michael held senior roles in the area of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Security for The Linde Group in Europe and Africa from 2008 to 2013 and BOC Limited in Australia from 2001 to 2008. He has also held senior safety and environmental roles with Normandy Mining, the Federal Environment Department and the Department of Defence (Army).
Michael has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from Deakin University and a Master of Environmental Engineering Science from UNSW. He is a Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (UK), the Institute of Directors (UK and Australia) and a Chartered Chemist (RACI).
