Whiting is derived from limestone (calcium carbonate) and milled to produce a fine powder that’s suitable for marking lines on sports fields, or lifting calcium rates and neutralising high acid pH levels in garden soils.
Typical Applications • Sports field line marking. • Soil acidity stabilising. • Coating fowl houses and aviaries for hygiene and appearance. • Can be used as a paint filler. Directions for Use Line Marking: To use a line marking material for grassed playing fields, mix Whiting with potable water to produce a consistency that will provide a flowable material appropriate for the applicator. Too little water will not allow material to flow at a consistent rate. Too much water will cause segregation to occur. pH stabilisation: Acid pH levels in soils may be raised by the addition of Whiting. We recommend consulting a horticulturalist at your local garden centre or nursery to determine correct adjustment of soil pH levels. Yield Cannot be specified as it is dependant on the surface and application type where the material will be used. Availability Blue Circle® Whiting comes in 1kg plastic bags and 25kg paper sacks. Cleanup & Storage Clean all tools and equipment with water promptly after use. Unopened bags can be stored for up to 12 months in a cool dry, weatherproof environment elevated off the floor. Promptly seal any unused material. Safe Handling The use of barrier cream, protective gloves, clothing and safety goggles is recommended. For further safety information consult the Material Safety Data Sheet for the product.
