Boral Plasterboard products are manufactured
from a combination of natural gypsum, and paper
liner made from 100% reclaimed and recycled
paper waste. Plasterboard waste can be
reclaimed and recycled into new plasterboard,
or reused as soil conditioner.
Lightweight plasterboard construction offers the benefits of low embodied energy, non-toxic materials, enhanced indoor air quality, and ease of thermal and acoustic upgrading.
Boral plasterboard and compounds have been certified as having Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) levels complying with the relevant specifications of Green Building Council of Australia's Green Star Environmental Rating System for Buildings. |
