In many cases these products form a mandatory part of the Boral system and must be used to satisfy building regulation requirements as well as a Boral Plasterboard guarantee.

| Fasteners |
| Widely recognised throughout the hardware, industrial and construction industries for their quality and reliability, Otter is an important partner of Boral Plasterboard. Screws for fixing plasterboard are self drilling, self tapping, cross recessed, bugle-head steel, cadmium plated with yellow chromate passivation to resist corrosion.
Needle point and 'S' Point Screws are Type 1 or Type 2 as defined in Australian Standard AS. 358 - 198. Several types are available, applied with a specially designed screw gun for fastening plasterboard to timber and metal framing.
Nails for fixing plasterboard to timber framing are corrosion-resistant, with special countersunk heads. Availability may vary. |
