The world of paving is about to change with new
Geo-Fix® paving joint mortar from Boral; an air-curing
joint filler that saves time, effort and water.
Reducing time spent on an average courtyard project
by up to 20 per cent, Geo-Fix® means no more
trowelling, hiring a compactor, wasting water and
hours of cleaning to complete the task – simply
scatter, sweep and leave.
Developed in response to Australian’s growing
preference for large format pavers - which often
have irregular edges and can make joints more difficult
to fill - Geo-Fix® is a unique, ready to use jointing
material suitable for applying a permanent, rigid joint
over 5mm wide and a minimum 25mm deep on all types
of paving including:
§ Natural Stone
§ Concrete
§ Slate
§ Clay
§ Terracotta
§ Granite
Offering superior flexibility compared to mortar,
Geo-Fix® creates a natural coloured joint unaffected
by wind, rain washout or mechanical cleaning when
set. It inhibits weed and plant growth and is water and
air permeable, so tree and plant roots can continue to
receive nourishment from above the surface.
According to Alex Dekker of Dekker Landscapes
(location, NSW) Geo-Fix® is a complete solution.
“Mixing and trowelling sand is the traditional joint filling
method but it’s not suitable for wider joints associated
with large format pavers.
“I’ve found Geo-Fix® really easy to use and it requires
ess maintenance as it resists the growth of weeds
and doesn’t stain. Spend your weekend enjoying your
courtyard, not cleaning and weeding it.
”No special skills are needed to work with Geo-Fix®
and even ornate paving patterns and designs can be
jointed quickly and effectively by DIYers of all levels.
note: Geo-Fix® is not available in Western Australia.
