For 15 years, Boral has proudly supported Tallong Apple Day, helping one of the Southern Highlands' most anticipated community events continue to bring people together while raising funds for local initiatives.
Despite wet weather, this year's event once again attracted community members of all ages, demonstrating the strong local support behind a festival that has become a valued tradition in the Tallong region.
Organised by local volunteers, Apple Day features a wide range of activities and competitions that celebrate community spirit, creativity and regional heritage. Visitors can enjoy photography, baking and craft competitions, alongside family-friendly attractions including pony rides, rock climbing, pig racing, wood chopping demonstrations and medieval battle displays.
Representatives from Boral's Peppertree Quarry and Marulan operations were on hand throughout the day to support the event and engage with local families. Reshma Benny, Michelle Grossbach, Sharon Makin and Anne Elisabeth Champon hosted children's activities including a treasure hunt and guessing competitions, while sharing giveaways with attendees.
Boral's long-standing sponsorship reflects the company's commitment to supporting the communities where its people live and work. Community events such as Apple Day play an important role in bringing residents together, strengthening local connections and creating opportunities for community groups to fund important projects.
Importantly, proceeds from the event are reinvested back into the Tallong region, helping support initiatives that benefit the local community.
As Apple Day continues to grow as a much-loved regional event, Boral is proud to play a small part in supporting a tradition that celebrates local people, encourages community participation and helps create lasting positive outcomes for the region.
Through partnerships like this, Boral remains committed to supporting community events that foster connection, encourage involvement and contribute to the vibrancy of regional Australia.
