More than 100 muscle cars and motorbikes rolled into Boral's Prestons site recently for a Cars and Coffee fundraising event, raising over $3,000 for The Black Dog Institute and supporting awareness of mental health in the community.

The event brought together employees, friends, family members and vehicle enthusiasts from across the region, with a diverse collection of classic and modern cars, motorbikes and boats on display. Participants enjoyed the opportunity to connect, share their passion for motorsports and support an important cause.

The fundraiser was held in memory of Dave Armstrong, a valued member of the Boral family whose legacy continues to inspire those who worked alongside him. Dave's father Geoff, a former Boral concrete truck driver of 40 years, and his brother Paul, who works at Prestons, attended the event and brought along a prized speedboat once jointly owned by Dave and Paul.

Prestons employee Sam Gangi said the day demonstrated the strength of the local community and the importance of supporting one another.

"We are united not only by our passion for cars, bikes and boats, but also by our willingness to support each other," Sam said.

"Mental health affects many people across our communities. Events like this are a reminder to check in on friends, family members and colleagues, and to start conversations that can make a real difference."

The event highlighted the strong community spirit of the Prestons team and their commitment to raising awareness of mental health while supporting the important work of The Black Dog Institute.
