Our SA recycling team played host to Industry Capability Network SA at our Salisbury site recently, showing the government team how we are supporting a more circular construction sector across the state. Our SA team were able to provide a behind the scenes view of how recycled and virgin quarry materials are blended at Salisbury to extend the life of local resources while meeting required specifications.

The government team also saw how construction and demolition materials such as concrete, brick, asphalt, pavers, roof tiles and reclaimed aggregates are processed and reused in new applications.

Meeting with ICN is an important opportunity for our business. Showing this work in action builds government and industry confidence in our capability. It demonstrates how our recycling teams contribute to sustainability outcomes on major projects and reinforces Boral as a trusted supplier in South Australia’s growing pipeline of infrastructure and development work.

ICN connects major projects with capable local suppliers, so strong relationships help ensure Boral is front of mind when project owners look for sustainable materials and dependable partners. These conversations also give us direct insight into what customers and government decision makers expect from modern construction supply chains in South Australia.

The visit also gave us the chance to highlight progress at Gould Creek and how our approach supports more resilient supply chains across the state.

Thank you to Nathan Hall and the Salisbury recycling team for hosting the visit and showcasing the practical steps we are taking to integrate recycled materials into South Australian construction.
