  What are the key dates for the 2010 graduate program?
  Online applications are now open and close April, 2010. Interviews and/or assessments will be held during May / June with job offers made over June / July 30th.

  How can I use my degree?
   
 
  • Engineering - Mechanical, Mining, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial: You will be working with experienced and talented managers driving the ongoing successful operations of a blue-chip company! You will have the opportunity to work across Quarry Operations, Manufacturing, Process Control, Risk Management, Project Management, Procurement and Distribution.

  • Science – Chemical, Ceramics, Environmental, OH&S: You will be working with experienced and talented managers driving the ongoing successful operations of a blue-chip company! You will have the opportunity to work across R&D, Manufacturing, Process Control, Risk Management, Project Management, Environmental Management and Occupational Health & Safety.

  • Business, Law, Strategy, Finance and Accounting: You will be working with talented managers, providing financial and business information in a dynamic and constantly challenging environment. You will have the opportunity to work across Business Strategy, Pricing and Pricing Strategy, Reporting, Business Process Audit, Management Information Systems and Finance and Accounting for a blue-chip company. This is a unique, professional experience at its best!

  • Information Technology: You will be working with talented managers, providing hardware and software support for one of Australia’s biggest companies. You will have the opportunity to work in Systems & Network Support, Systems Administration and Web Development for a blue-chip company. This is unique, professional experience at its best!

  • Human Resources: You will be working with talented managers, providing Occupational Health & Safety and Employee Relations support or General HR support to the business in a dynamic and constantly challenging environment. This is unique, professional experience at its best!

  • Marketing: You will be working with talented managers, growing market-leading products. You will be working on projects across Sales, Marketing, Branding, Communications, Events/Project Management and Creative. This is unique, professional experience at its best!
   
  What locations is Boral recruiting for?
  We expect to recruit graduates mainly into:
 
  • Queensland
  • NSW
  • Victoria
  However, due to the growth and dynamic nature of our business, opportunities at other locations may also become available.
   
  How long should I expect to stay at my initial location before being eligible for a move?
  Graduates are recruited into actual roles and stay a minimum of 12 months and up to 2-3 years in their first assignment.
   
  Can I be considered for a graduate role outside my current location or state?
  Yes. As part of the online application process you can nominate if you would like to be considered for roles in other locations.
   
  Does Boral support further studies?
  Yes. In addition to best practice training and development programs Boral also offers a generous Educational Assistance program. Benefits from Success
   
  Is there the opportunity for travel or international work?
  Some roles may require travel. With a substantial international business in the USA and Asia there are increasing opportunities for Boral employees to benefit from short-term overseas assignments. Generally these assignments are available to employees with a minimum of several years experience. Expatriate opportunities are available to more experienced managers with specific technical or managerial skills, or as part of an executive development program.
   
  I don’t have unrestricted working rights for Australia. Am I still eligible to apply?
  To be considered for our Graduate program all applicants must be Australian permanent residents or demonstrate unrestricted working rights in Australia.
