Remember that you can order Boral Concrete in small
quantities and complete a job in stages. |
| |
|
| 2 |
Keep a hose handy to wash concrete off tools. |
| |
|
| 3 |
Don’t put concrete over downpipes or other pipes
that you may need to get at for repair. |
| |
|
| 4 |
If a concrete pathway or drive slopes down,
rain water could run where you don’t want it to.
You can prevent this by making a dish drain across
the driveway. Using the screed board flat as a
guide, draw the side of a bottle across the concrete
immediately after it has been levelled. |

|
| 5 |
If you want to concrete over an area that’s subject to
seepage, cover the ground with heavy gauge plastic
sheeting before placing the concrete. |
| |
|
| 6 |
When placing concrete on a slope start at the bottom.
This provides support for the mix all the way up
the slope. |
| |
|
| 7 |
Some slabs may require a fall for water runoff.
Slope should be a minimum of 25mm in 8 metres. |
