Standard
Design Roof or Floor Ceiling Systems - Suspended, Direct Fixed
or Furred
System provides a variety of application configurations using
1 layer of 10mm or 13mm Boral Plasterboard Standard Core or
10mm Boral Unispan fixed as a Suspended, Direct Fixed or Furred
System.

layer of 10mm or 13mm Boral Plasterboard Standard Core or
10mm Boral Unispan fixed to a supporting framework of timber
/ steel at 600mm (450mm for 10mm Boral Plasterboard Standard
Core) max. centres. - Plasterboard is fixed across supporting
members -Longitudinal joints (along recessed edges) and Butt
or End Joints not formed on framing members should be back
blocked - Back blocks to be laminated with daubs of Cornice
Adhesive - Fixing to framework to be as a follows: Fixed directly
to timber / steel beams or purlins at 600mm (450mm for 10mm
Boral Plasterboard Standard Core) max. centres - or - Fixed
to furring channel system at 600mm max. centres that has been
-( a) clipped or direct fixed to a steel or timber floor /
ceiling frame at 1200mm max. centres - or - (b) clipped to
top cross rails at 1200mm max. centres supported by suspension
rod system hung from a conc. soffit, steel or timber floor
/ ceiling frame.
Flooring
over - Concrete Slab or min. 12mm plywood or particle board
fixed direct to frame. Roofing over -Concrete Slab, Tile,
Aluminium or Steel profiled section fixed to battens or frame.
