Boral Quarries
Boral Quarries has a number of quarries, sand and gravel pits strategically located around Australia to service your project needs. Boral Quarries produce high quality concrete and asphalt aggregates, roadbase and subbase for road, civil and site works as well as specific landscape products based on the type of source rock available. Boral is becoming increasingly committed to the environment and sustaining its resources. As a result NSW and Victoria are also committed to recycling concrete through a joint venture with Delta Demolitions. Boral Quarries also has the experience and testing capability to provide detailed product information for pavement design.
Montrose Quarry (Victoria)
Montrose Quarry is one of the six Boral metropolitan quarries in the Boral Quarries Vic. Metro group and is managed as part of Boral's Australian Construction Materials Group.
Lysterfield Quarry (Victoria)
Lysterfield Quarry has been operating since 1986 with the currently approved development, rehabilitation and landscape plans. These plans provide for the orderly development of the quarry including staged rehabilitation of the site over the life of the resource.
Peppertree - Proposed Quarry (New South Wales)
Peppertree Quarry is a greenfield hard rock quarry soon to be established at Marulan South, to supply local markets and the Sydney metropolitan area with high quality construction materials for use in concrete, road construction and other building projects.
Teven Quarry (New South Wales)
The Boral Teven Quarry is a hard rock quarry located about 8km north west of Ballina on the NSW North Coast. It is sited adjacent to Maguires Creek and has been in operation since 1959. Boral has owned the facility since 1985.
Dundowran Quarry (Queensland)
Dundowran Quarry operates in the Queensland Wide Bay area. The quarry is located 15kms west of the town of Hervey Bay, close to the rural centre of Dundowran. Boral Dundowran Quarry services the Hervey Bay region which has experienced rapid growth over the past decade.
Narangba Quarry (Queensland)
The Narangba Quarry is located on Raynbird Road, Narangba, 37km north of Brisbane and northwest of the Narangba Township. Boral's landholdings cover an area of 469.8 hectares. Approximately 50ha are occupied by the quarry operations and 420ha are buffer land. The Narangba Quarry has been managed and operated by Boral since 1995 however the site has been operational since 1969.
Ormeau Quarry (Queensland)
Boral Ormeau Quarry is one of eleven Boral quarries operating in South East Queensland. The suburb of Ormeau is located in the north of the Gold Coast local government area - this area of Queensland is currently experiencing considerable growth. Boral Ormeau Quarry is approximately 5.5 kilometres from the Pacific Highway, the major link from the Gold Coast to Brisbane and south west of Ormeau Central.
Petrie Quarry (Queensland)
Boral Petrie Quarry is one of eleven Boral quarries operating in South East Queensland. The quarry is located approximately 30kms northwest of Brisbane and 13kms northwest of Petrie on Dayboro Road in the Pine Rivers Shire. The quarry is situated on a 134 hectare freehold property, of which only around 35 hectares has been disturbed for quarry pit and infrastructure development.
Gold Coast Quarry (Queensland)
Boral Resources (Qld) Pty Limited (Boral) is seeking to establish a new extractive industry operation on a Greenfield site at Tallebudgera Valley, near Reedy Creek, on the Gold Coast. The Queensland Government has declared the Gold Coast Quarry a Significant Project under the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971, requiring an Environmental Impact Statement.
Tichum Quarry (Far North Queensland)
Tichum Quarry is situated on the Atherton Tablelands of Far North Queensland. It is located adjacent to the Kennedy Hwy, between Kuranda and Mareeba in the Tablelands Regional Council area. The quarry is a basalt quarry, which provides various construction materials predominantly concrete aggregates, asphalt aggregates, and road base products. Depending on demand, manufactured sand and drainage aggregates are also sold.
Linwood Quarry (South Australia)
Boral Linwood Quarry is situated in South Australia. Quarrying began at the present site in 1882 by Brighton Cement Works. Boral Resources currently employs 17 people with an additional 5 employees operating the onsite concrete batching plant.
