Product Price Increases

The following information is provided to assist shareholders and analysts to assist in their understanding of movements in the prices of Boral's key products. The information is provided for the period after December 2013, and will be updated from time to time in relation to the relevant increases.

24 August 2016

  • Concrete price increases in most East Coast regions of between $5.00 and $8.00/m3 equating to around 3-4%, effective between 1 October 2016 and 1 November 2016 (depending on location).
  • Aggregate price increases in Victoria/Tas and NSW metro of between $1.50 and $3.00/tonne equating to around 6-9%, effective 1 November 2016.

Note that estimated percentage increases are based on the 20MPa/20mm prices and the aggregate percentage increases are based on a basket of representative 20mm products. Also note that price increases in some specific market segments and products may be outside of these ranges and timeframes.

11 August 2016

Boral has advised customers of the following price increases:

  • Bulk cement price increases in NSW / ACT, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia of $15 per tonne for off-white cement and $11 per tonne for grey cement (and fly ash and milled slag in NSW/ACT and VIC only), equating to an average of around 6%, effective 1 October 2016.

Boral has advised its customers of the following price increases:

  • Concrete price increases nationally of between $3.00 and $14.00/m3 equating to around 2-8%, effective 1 April 2016
  • Aggregate price increases nationally of between $1.00 and $3.00/tonne equating to around 3-13%, effective 1 April 2016

Boral has advised customers of the following price increases:

  • Bulk cement price increases in NSW / ACT and Victoria of $9 per tonne for core products, equating to around 4%, and $5.50 per tonne in Tasmania, equating to around 2.5%, effective 1 January 2016

Boral has advised its customers of the following price increases:

  • Concrete price increases nationally (excluding WA) of between $8.00 and $16.50/m3 equating to around 5-9%, effective 1 April 2015

  • Concrete price increases in WA of $12.00/m3 equating to around 6-8%, effective 1 March 2015

  • Aggregate price increases nationally (excluding WA) of between $1.70 and $6.00/tonne equating to around 6-18%, effective 1 April 2015

  • Aggregate price increases in WA of $3.50/tonne equating to around 7-10%, effective 1 March 2015

USG Boral has advised its customers of the following price increases:

  • Plasterboard price increases in NSW/ACT and Victoria/Tasmania of 7% and in Queensland, SA, WA and NT a 6% increase, effective 1 March 2015

Boral has advised customers of the following price increases:

  • Bulk cement price increases in NSW, ACT, Victoria and Tasmania of $8 / tonne for core products, equating to around 4%, effective 1 January 2015

Boral has advised its customers of the following price increases:

  • Plasterboard price increases in NSW, Queensland and Victoria of 7% and in SA and WA a 4.7% increase, effective 1 March 2014

  • Concrete price increases nationally of between $6 and $12/m3 equating to around 3-6%, effective 1 April 2014

  • Aggregate price increases nationally of between $1 and $5/tonne equating to around 4-11%, effective 1 April 2014

  • Cement price increase in NSW and Victoria of $12/tonne equating to an average of around 6%, effective 1 April 2014
